Nirvikalpa Samadhi or the state of Fana

Enlightenment or nirvikalpa Samadhi or Fana is the greatest stage of spirituality. It is attained by completely removing desire, anger and any form of attachment from your mind. this goal is achieved under seven stages. . Marriage is a desire and a bond or a agreement . When you marry he/ she is bound to you and many other things that will promote many desires. This is the reason why marriage is a disturbance to the path of nirvana, because it is a shackle . But still any one can embark on the path of spirituality during a married life. there are many such people. Once you embark on the path the chances of the marriage seperating is very high as the path demands it. In the natural course marriage will be eliminated by itself clearing ones path to reach enlightenment. Because Nirvana or Enlightenment is attained on your own not with the support of a partner rather by devoloping the mind.
